About La Longagne

Les Jardins de la Longagne

1600

Building the house

The house of La Longagne was built around 1600 and was altered and extended over the years by successive owners. Princess Marie Anne Françoise of Hohenzollern took refuge here in the mid-17th century to escape her marriage to Count Ernest of Isembourg.

The renovation

We bought the house in January 2021 with the plan of creating guest rooms and sharing this beautiful place with travellers. We did much of the work ourselves, helped by family and friends, using bio-sourced materials wherever possible. Our goal was to preserve the character of the place and bring it back to life.

Ready to welcome you

After more than a year of work, we are finally ready to welcome you!

The house has five rooms on the first floor, each with a private bathroom. The lounge is set in the main room, a former chapel, with a reading corner and library on the platform. Breakfast and the table d’hôtes are served in the dining room, where a fridge, microwave, coffee machine and kettle are at your disposal.

The property covers more than a hectare, with garden lounges, a covered terrace, orchards and a vegetable garden.

Lucie and Sylvie

Your hosts

Both originally from Nantes, Lucie arrived in Albi in 2017 and Sylvie in 2021. We started this guest house project to meet and welcome people from all horizons and introduce them to the Tarn. We want to create a place of encounters and exchange — and the mother-daughter pairing was obvious to us, as our skills and characters complement each other.

Want to see the house for yourself? Browse our five guest rooms, stay for the table d’hôtes dinner, or check availability.
